The Zing Dev Rock Band Goes Punting In Oxford

Zingers descended on Oxford for our summer social on Friday. Beginning at the Old Fire House, Zing CEO Julian Hucker gave an overview of where we as a company have been, where we are now, and where we're going.

All good rock bands start off with four members,” said Julian as he reflected on how the original group (Dan, Jordan, Paul and Natalia) had laid the groundwork for today's super-band of almost 40!

Having just had another record quarter, it was amaZING to reflect on how the business has grown, which was clear by the amount of people that had been able to make it on the day.

Yet, our mission remains clear, to build nothing short of the world’s leading Twilio consulting partner, armed with a centurion of developers - and that requires relentlessly marching forwards.

With everyone kitted out in new Zing attire (including much needed sunglasses), it was onto the serious matter of the launching Stage 2 of our Accreditation Scheme, and handing out 🏆 awards 🏆 for those who have reached bona fide 'Rock Star' level within the Zing Dev Band.

Also on the agenda was an outline for doing ‘business for good’. Having taken immense pride in our work for the likes of the Norwegian Refugee Council, Age UK and Oxfam, the team is united in its desire to do such work whenever possible, and a supporting programme was laid-out to that end (more details to follow in due course).

From there it was off to do some punting on the Thames, before lunch at the awesome Geroge Street Social, and Zingtinis at The Lighthouse!
